Nabela’s Coffee Cinnamon Rolls

The perfect cozy recipe to start off your day!


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease 9 inch pan.

  2. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, instant coffee, salt, and granulated sugar to create the cinnamon sugar mix. Set aside.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly mix the buttermilk and 2 tbsp of melted butter into the dry mixture to create the dough. The dough should be a little sticky.

  4. On a floured surface, knead the dough until it's smooth.

  5. Roll or press the dough into a 9x12” rectangle. (does not need to be exact)

  6. Spread 2 tbsp of melted butter on the dough.

  7. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mix evenly on top of the dough and press gently into the dough.

  8. Tightly roll the dough until it forms a long roll.

  9. Cut dough into 6-8 even pieces. Place into greased pan.

  10. Brush 2 tbsp of melted butter on top of the rolls.

  11. Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

  12. While rolls are baking, mix all icing ingredients together and set aside.

  13. Take the cinnamon rolls out of the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

  14. Brush remaining melted butter on top and then apply the icing.

  15. Serve and enjoy!
